Pomeranian Special Economic Zone – A very good year 2017

It was a very good year for the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone. This could be a brief summary of the Company’s results, in terms of both the number of permits issued and of declared capital and employment expenditures.

In 2017, the Zone issued 36 permits, i.e. more than twice as many as in 2016. The declared capital expenditures amounted to over PLN 2 billion – four times more than in the previous year, 732 new jobs were created and 6342 were maintained. As at 30 September 2017, employment in the PSEZ increased to 26,550 jobs. The passing year was extremely successful for our Company, also thanks to the regulation changing the PSEZ borders. This allowed to issue permits for entities in new territories, the majority of which were small and medium Polish enterprises. An unquestionable success was also the issuing of a permit for PDH Polska S.A. from Grupa Azoty. The expenditures declared by PDH Polska (PLN 1.49 billion) are the highest in the history of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone per one investment project.

The PSEZ has also joined several innovative projects supporting the country’s economic development and dual education. The zone was also appreciated on the international arena, where FDI Business Financial Times awarded the company 7 distinctions.
